Housed in a restored bright white, mint-green-windowed 1902 Sino-Portuguese mansion, Satun's excellent museum was originally constructed as a home for King Rama V during a royal visit, but the governor snagged the pad when the king failed to show up. The building exhibits feature dioramas with soundtracks covering every aspect of Muslim life in southern Thailand.
