Siam Square is often referred to by locals as the center of Bangkok due to its central BTS sky train sop. The area also has a way of just drawing people in as a major entertainment and shopping mecca for consumers looking to buy anything from designer jeans to knockoff watches. It's a popular destination for locals, expats and tourists.

Despite its name, Siam Square is not really a square, it's more like a maze of tiny streets crammed with shops, restaurants, street vendors and more. Whatever you need to buy, chances are you can find is somewhere around here. Towering over the chaos are many 5 star hotels as well as three major upscale malls: Siam Center, Siam Discovery and Siam Paragon. Wander above and below and enjoy consumerism at its finest.
