The Quang Ba market is at its busiest and most atmospheric when it first starts up in the early hours, when the bustle of commercial wholesale buyers arrive to strike their deals. Later in the morning, the market sees more individual buyers – locals shopping for flowers for celebrations, offerings, and other occasions. It is especially worth a visit here during Tet (Vietnamese New Year), when flowers are used in abundance to mark the festivities.
With its piles of fragrant blossoms – from chrysanthemums and roses to sunflowers and orchids – the beeping of moped horns, and teems of bustling locals, the Quang Ba Flower Market is one of Hanoi’s most colorful attractions.
