For Joy, every inch of Bermuda radiates a special magic. “The sky is stunning no matter where you are,” she says. “You can just look at the clouds all day if you want.” Still, one particular part of the island stands out for her, the Spittal Pond Nature Reserve. “You’ll need to walk along a dirt path lined with plants to reach the sea, but once you get there you likely will find yourself alone with the wide open ocean as you sit on a beach ringed with trees and sea grass,” Joy says. “You’ll see nothing but the water. It’s perhaps the most beautiful spot on the island and like nothing else in Bermuda.”
