Nestled among the shops of the Royal Naval Dockyard, the Bermuda Art Centre is a vibrant hub of the island’s modern art scene. The Bermuda Art Centre is an ever changing gallery, studio and workshop for Bermuda’s up-and-coming artists. Visitors can peruse the main gallery to see local art in many mediums, everything from paintings to handcrafted quilts, while some of the in-house artists open their studios to the public, like Chesley Trott, who carves his pieces from Bermuda cedar. Visitors can also join workshops to learn artistic techniques like silk screening or plain air painting—you can then put what you have learned into practice at one of Bermuda’s dramatic vistas.
