Consisting of a stylized dark head with silver tears running down its cheeks, this memorial was unveiled by Prime Minister Bruce Golding in 2008 as an official acknowledgement of the impact of the existing culture of violence on Kingston’s youth. It commemorates children who have died in tragic or violent circumstances, with the names and ages of the victims carved into the plinth. Most are boys between the ages of 11 and 17.
