Tasting delicious farm-made sausages, cheese and bread is only a small part of the experience of a visit to the open-air interactive museum of Dudutki, located 40km south of Minsk. This completely self-sufficient farm offers horse riding, sleigh rides, demonstrations of ceramic making, blacksmithing and more. You'll be offered fresh salo (tallow) with garlic, salt and rye bread; pickles dipped in honey; and homemade moonshine – all scrumptious.
There are two daily buses (BR35,000 each way, one hour) to Dudutki from Minsk's Vostochny Bus Station at 8.40am (9.40am Sat & Sun) and 12.55pm, with return buses at 2.20pm and 6.06pm (5.40pm Sat & Sun). Otherwise, contact Valeria of Dudutki Tur to organise private transport.
