Trebinje's Arslanagić Bridge is a unique double-backed structure built in 1574 under the direction of Grand Visier Mehmet Paša Sokolović, who was also behind the Višegrad bridge, though this one was named for the toll collector. It was originally 10km upstream from its present location and in 1965 disappeared beneath the rising waters of Gorica reservoir. Rescued stone by stone it took six years before it was finally reassembled in Trebinje, where the result is slightly undermined by its suburban location, 700m northeast of Hotel Leotar.
