This now-ruined Basilica dates from the 5th century. While little is left of the main structure, the basilica has extensive flooring, intricately patterned with geometric and abstract mosaics. Greek inscriptions at both the northern and southern ends of the former nave reveal that the church’s construction was partly financed by Deacon Iraklios on a personal vow of dedication.
The site is at the eastern end of the village and is best approached from the Dipkarpaz end of Sipahi.
