Considering the illustrious place of shadow theatre in Cyprus’ history (it was introduced in the 16th century by the Turks), it’s a surprise that this is the only place of its kind on the island. Shadow puppet plays take place on the 1st floor of the Büyük Han on Saturday at 11am in a tiny theatre with around 50 seats.
Puppeteer Mehmet Ertuğ laments the fact that he has so far found no successor, so don’t miss an opportunity to see a show – kids and adults.
