Standing in silent sentinel on a rather deserted coastline, some 5km north of Dipkarpaz and right next to the Oasis hotel, is the well-preserved shell of Agios Filon & Afendrika, a 12th-century church built over an earlier 5th-century Christian basilica. Abstract mosaics from the earlier basilica can be viewed outside the standing walls of the later church.
