The Unesco-protected Archbishop's Chateau dates from the late 17th century and is Kroměříž’s big-ticket sight, with an 84m-high baroque tower visible for miles around. Main attractions include impressive interiors, boasting baroque and rococo murals, as well as the tower, the castle gardens , and an impressive art gallery with works by the Venetian master Titian and other luminaries.
Entry is by guided tour only, and several different tours are available (see the website). Most visitors will be satisfied with the 'Via Unesco' tour, which includes the historic rooms and tower. The beautiful gardens below the castle are open year around and free to the general public.
