Petrin Hill
Petrin Hill is a hill in Prague that stands at 1,043 feet high. The hill's biggest draw is the Petrin Observation Tower, which was modeled after the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Visitors can climb 299 stairs to the top of the tower for views of the city. The hill is beautifully landscaped with gardens, making it a pleasant place for a stroll or a picnic. There is also a hall of mirrors, an observatory with a telescope, and a church with a rose garden on the hill.
At the base of Petrin Hill, there is a children's playground. One of the stops along the funicular that goes up and down the hill has a restaurant, which sits on the side of the hill. The funicular is the most popular way to get to the top of the hill, although the summit can also be reached by car. Alternatively, you can also walk up a steep but pleasant trail, which takes about 30 minutes.
Practical Info
