An excellent destination for a drive or cycle, Skjoldnæs Fyr is a 19th-century, granite-block lighthouse 5km northwest of Søby, next to the small clubhouse for the scenic golf course. You can climb the narrow stairway (it's rarely locked during the day) for exhilarating views of wind-tossed swallows and the sea. A few minutes’ walk beyond the lighthouse is a pebble beach and bird breeding area.
