Spaceport
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s really like in space, a visit to Liverpool’s Spaceport might be the closest you’ll get to answers, with a planetarium and a series of intergalactic galleries, exhibitions and multi-media displays. A fun choice for a family day out and a key stop on Liverpool’s hop-on hop-off Mersey River Explorer Cruises, Spaceport’s hands-on discovery zones and interactive exhibits are suitable for all ages.
Highlights include a space simulator ride, a planetarium show in the panoramic dome and special exhibitions dedicated to space-traveling TV show characters like Dr Who (including a life-size Tardis and a huge collected of costumes from the TV series) or Wallace and Gromit.
Practical Info
The Spaceport is located at the Seacombe Ferry Terminal in Birkenhead and is open daily from 10am-3pm on weekdays or 5pm on weekends. Adult admission is £9.
