The University of Manchester’s Manchester Museum takes visitors interested in natural history and social science through the ages. Here, dinosaur bones mingle with mummies and living exhibits delight.
Known for its Egyptology section, which houses one of the largest and significant collections of ancient Egypt artifacts, it includes displays dating back to 10000 BC. Within its Earth Science gallery, visitors can explore the world as it was millions of years ago. The collection includes around 140,000 fossils, rocks and minerals on display from around the world. There are also other collections to experience the past, including Archaeology, Archery, Zoology, Living Cultures, Money, Plants, Human Remains and Live Animals.
This research center and museum is home to more than six million items from around the world, so there is plenty to explore during a visit here.
