When we visited a new layer of bling was being added to this cute 19th-century Orthodox church, with its elegant onion domes in the process of being gilded. It contains the relics of Sergius Florinsky, a local priest who was shot in 1918 by local communists, now regarded as a saint by the Russian Orthodox church.
