Near the bridge connecting Seurasaari with the mainland, this museum gives a glimpse into the life of Finland’s greatest president. A guided tour wanders through the magnificent villa and its surrounding park, and peeks into the traditional sauna that hosted diplomatic chinwags with Nikita Khrushchev. While here, don’t miss a coffee at nearby Tamminiementien Kahvila. For the museum and Seurasaari, take bus 24 from central Helsinki, which takes you right there, or tram 4 to its terminus and walk 800m west. The museum reopened in 2012 after extensive renovation, so check opening hours and prices.
