Behind the large shop and restaurant, a charming craft village includes the Lasimuseo , whose two levels cover the history of the Iittala glassworks as well as the glass-making process, with pieces from most of the firm’s famous ranges on display. Free tours of the nearby factory leave from here at noon from Monday to Friday; otherwise you can watch a glassblower at work in an adjacent shop. The main shop, though sizeable, doesn’t offer more than similar Iittala/Arabia/Hackman shops elsewhere in Finland.
