At Tankavaara is this nature centre with advice on activities and trekking in Urho Kekkonen National Park. It has good exhibitions on the local environment, including a display on raptors upstairs, as well as a half-hour audiovisual, an internet terminal, a shop and a selection of maps. Various circular nature trails arc out from the centre (1km to 6km).
