Chugging along a 13km stretch of track between St-Jean du Gard and Anduze, this fabulous old steam train follows an old line through the Gardon Valley, which was in operation between 1909 and 1971. Now restored by enthusiasts, it’s a marvellous way to see the scenery, traversing several arched viaducts and subterranean tunnels, including the 833m-long Tunnel d’Anduze. The trains also stop at the Bambouseraie de Prafrance.
The one-way journey lasts 40 minutes; there are three or four trains daily depending on the season.
