This tasting room sells various regional products and offers free samples of Le Puy's fiery green liqueur, Verveine Verte, invented in 1859 using 32 plants and herbs. Despite its potency (55% alcohol-by-volume), Verveine's refreshingly sweet taste makes it a popular ingredient in local desserts. Verveine Jaune (yellow) and Verveine Extra (reddish-brown) varieties are somewhat milder at 40% alcohol-by-volume. In summer, take a 45-minute guided tour of the distillery , 8km east along the N88 in St-Germain Laprade.
