This is the place if you want to get a sense of what medieval warfare might have looked like. A collection of replica trebuchets, catapults and siege machines are arranged around the pretty town of Larressingle, sometimes known as ‘little Carcassonne’ because of its turrets and ramparts. On most days you can see several of the machines in action.
