Clermont-Ferrand's natural history museum is named for the celebrated pharmacist and natural scientist who lived here in the 19th century and amassed rocks, fossils, plants and stuffed animals from the region. Highlights include the gallery of Auvergnat butterflies and over 50 native orchids.
