Les Grands Montets
Welcome to the largest ski station in Chamonix! Les Grands Montets is located 3300 meters high up on Aiguille Verte and is one of the best skiing areas in the world, thanks to a 2000 meters vertical drop – the highest in the world. Thanks to its north-facing trails, Les Grands Montets benefits from exceptional snow coverage, with late skiing possible well into the month of April. The resort is spread over three slopes, the Argentière glacier, as well as the Lognan and the Pendant peaks, and features two black trails (named Les Pylônes and Point de Vue) and plenty of off-trail possibilities to top it all off. Additionally, there is a snowpark and a boardercross in the Lognan area. There is plenty of hiking trails to explore in the summer, offering splendid access to the rugged and heavily forested area at the foot of Aiguille Verte, with the Alps glaciers as a backdrop.
