About 15km south of Bodenwerder, in the tiny village of Polle, you'll find this wonderfully accessible hilltop castle ruin (dating from around 1285) affording beautiful views over the Weser River valley below. You can climb to the top of the tower or just admire the views from the quirky sculpture garden within the garden walls. This is an offbeat, special spot.
