If you were lucky enough to own a car in East Germany, it would most likely have been a Trabant (Trabi in short), a tinny two-stroker whose name ('satellite' in German) was inspired by the launch of the Soviet Sputnik in 1956. The small exhibit displays the entire production line of Trabis, including rare wooden and racing versions.
