At the gorge’s entrance is this stunning little 13th-century church with an impressive pair of mosaic icons. To reach it, cross the bridge from Pyli and follow the signs to the left. On arrival, ask at the taverna opposite for the elderly man with the keys, if he hasn't already run out to greet you.
