The biggest project to evolve out of the 2010 Capital of Culture has been the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter, a development that sprawls across 4.5 hectares on the grounds of the original Zsolnay Family Factory. Divided into four quarters (craftsman, family and children's, creative and university) the area was still evolving at the time of writing, but it's a lovely place to stroll with plenty of green spaces and cafes dotted around. Highlights include the actual functioning factory , which now takes up just a section of the grounds, where you can watch the actual pieces being created by hand, and the Bóbita Puppet Theatre , which moved from its previous location in town to the quarter in late 2011.
