One of provincial Hungary's largest and most unusual museums has something for everyone – from Carpathian Basin folk costumes and disappearing crafts to odds and ends from the socialist era, including motorbikes, posters and consumer goods. Add to that old office machines and and optical equipment, Russian bronze icons from the 18th and 19th centuries and a vast mineral collection from Transylvania. The museum is west of the centre. Take bus 1 bound for Majális Park and get off at Aba utca.
