This branch of the City Art Museum is devoted to the celebrated Győr-born ceramicist Margit Kovács (1902–77). Many of her works deal with rural and family life and have touches of folk art and religious imagery, while her later pieces are more abstract. While her best work is located in Szentendre, the 100 or so pieces on show here are a pleasure to view; including a sorrowful terracotta Virgin, nativity scene and some dapper soldiers.
