This very central church on the south side of V Deák Ferenc tér, designed by Mihály Pollack in 1799, is one of the best examples of early neoclassical architecture in the city. In the attached presbytery, which also functioned as a school (attended at one point by the poet Sándor Petőfi), you’ll find the National Lutheran Museum , tracing the history of the Reformation in Hungary. Exhibits include a church plate and a copy of Martin Luther’s will.
