The raison d’être of this museum is to show off the town’s folk art, like the ‘hairy’ embroidery done with yarnlike thread. But the collection of regional jugs, pitchers and plates is the finest, representing all three main types of pottery once made here (named after city districts): Csúcs (white and cobalt blue), Tabán (brown) and Újváros (mustard yellow and green).
