The biggest site at Carnbane East is about 35m in diameter, with numerous carved stones. One of its outlying kerbstones, the Hag’s Chair , is covered in gouged holes, circles and other markings.
In summer, access to Cairn T is controlled by Heritage Ireland (www.heritageireland.ie), which provides guides. Otherwise, pick up the gate key to enter the passageway from the cafe at Loughcrew Gardens , or from Loughcrew Megalithic Centre , and bring a torch/flashlight.
