In this superbly imaginative seven-room museum a rich range of audiovisual and interactive displays tell the story of Bergamo's Venetian age. Expect animated maps, high-tech re-creations of printing typefaces and a mock-up shop with draws full of snakes. It's all set in the medieval, fresco-dotted Palazzo del Podestà, the traditional home to Venice's representative in the town.
The museum stays open all day (from 9.30am to 7pm) on summer weekends (June to September)
