Breaking the floor to replace sewer pipes led the owner of this private home to the chance discovery of an archaeological treasure trove. Layers of history are revealed beneath the floors starting with the Messapii culture in around the 5th century BC and progressing through Roman crypts, medieval walls, Jewish insigna and Knights Templar symbolism in a rooftop tower. You have to see it to believe it!
