This stately Grand Canal palace – designed by Domenico Rossi and completed in 1728 – has been commandeered by Fondazione Prada, but you won't necessarily find handbags here. Instead Ca' Corner della Regina is now the setting for slick temporary exhibitions that explore the art and avant-garde that shape contemporary visual sensibilities. Frescoes on the palazzo's piano nobile (main floor) depict Caterina Cornaro, Queen of Cyprus, born in a Gothic building on this very site in 1454.
