You could also walk to Piazzale Roma in 10 to 15 minutes, and then catch a more-frequent vaporetto to glide along the Grand Canal. Some cruise lines provide a free shuttle to St. Mark’s. If your cruise ship has docked at the San Basilio terminal, south of Piazzale Roma, you can catch a vaporetto to St. Mark’s from the S. Basilio stop.
