The Prince of Monaco Private Collection of Antique Cars
The Prince of Monaco's private car collection tells the history of motoring from antique military and horse-drawn carriages, through vintage sports cars and classics. The meticulously maintained collection is housed in the museum on Terrasses de Fontvieille, displayed in categories according to His Serene Highness’ wishes.
Approximately 100 vehicles include vintage Rolls Royce, Cadillac and Chrysler models from the 50's, along with rare classics like the De Dion Bouton 1903, Ford Model T 1924 (named the world's most influential car of the 20th Century), luxury Spanish Hispano Suiza 1928, and fantastic 1929 Bugatti. Admire the sleek curves and classic lines of a Packard 1935, Cadillac 1953 and Chrysler Imperial 1956, while car lovers may be particularly fascinated by the Alpine Renault, angular high-performance sports model Lamborghini Countach and Mansell's historic Grand Prix Ferrari.
One day we'll take that ride in a long white Cadillac, silver Jaguar or a black Maserati, until then a visit to see the Prince's collection will keep those luxury motoring dreams alive!
