Inside the mod building, movies from the 40,000-title archive screen in four theatres, sometimes with live music. Exhibits (admission €9 to €15) of costumes, digital art and other cinephile amusements run in conjunction with what's playing. A view-tastic bar-restaurant adds to the hep-cat feel. Head to the basement for groovy free displays, including pods where you can sit and watch classic Dutch- and English-language films, and a green screen that injects you into a cartoon (shareable via a web link).
One quirk to keep in mind: EYE does not accept cash; you must use a credit or debit card.
