This museum of Modernism, Realism and avant-garde art contains three formerly private collections of works, dating from 1850 to 1970, by Norwegian artists. The museum and much of the art, which includes works by Ludvig Karsten and Amaldus Nielsen, were a gift to the city by Rolf E Stenersen.
