Though perhaps a little over-restored, this is one of the region's prettiest villages, with whitewashed buildings set around a pretty square dignified by a lovely church. There are plenty of good walks hereabouts; you can grab map pamphlets in the Pólo Museológico da Água , a small museum about water use that doubles as a tourist information office. It also holds the keys for the church. There's a characterful cafe on the square and a pair of decent village restaurants.
