This striking pedestrian bridge spans the valley east of the old town. It's immediately noticeable for its loftiness (52m at its top point) and unusual zig-zag trajectory. Built by João Luís Carrilho da Graça, it's won rave reviews in architecture circles since its opening in 2009.
