A 45-minute lacklustre walk west of the Palace of Parliament (or take bus 385 from outside the Parliament ticket office on B-dul Naţiunile Unite) leads to Ghencea Civil Cemetery, where you can morbidly seek out the final resting spots of Nicolae Ceauşescu (row I-35, marked with a red cross, to the left of the entry path) and his wife Elena (H25, to the right of the entry path), both executed on Christmas Day in 1989.
