The souvenir shops around the start of the bridge sell all manner of interesting items, from Altai honey (R100 a small jar), Altai pop and traditional music, maps, half-litre bottles of deer blood (R1100 pure, R300 if cut with cow blood), Altai T-shirts and Altai instruments such as jew's harps (kamys in the local dialect, vargan in Russian; R300) and ocarina (yurt-shaped flutes).
