This fine gallery is just a short walk from the kremlin along Verkhne-Volzhskaya nab, an attractive street lined with restored 19th-century buildings. Inside the art gallery you find a collection of mostly anonymous or lesser-known European painters who, despite their modest credentials, produced some remarkable works.
