Black Mosque
The Black Mosque was erected by Bukhara merchants in 1816 and destroyed by the Bolsheviks in 1939; it is currently being rebuilt from the remaining ruins.

On the grounds of an 12th-century monastery, this gallery ouses a noteworthy selection of paintings and scultpures of artists who spent time in Staraya Russa.

Hospital Chambers & St Nicholas Church
The combined Hospital Chambers and St Nicholas Church is just east of the cathedral group. St Nicholas is one of Suzdal’s own fine small 18th-century churches.
