This colourful, leafy square contains 18th- and 19th-century buildings, including the neo-Gothic town hall . At the southern end of the square is the so-called Commandery , which once belonged to the Knights of the Teutonic Order (note that it has a '2' above the door, but is number 14 on the square). Note the Maltese Cross above the entrance. To the northwest is the Parish Church of St Nicholas . On the ceiling are sobering contemporary frescoes of the Day of Judgment, with devils leading sinners to damnation.
