The funnel-shaped Square of the Celje Counts leads north from Muzejski trg. At the start is the Lower Castle built in the 14th century for the Celje Counts and today containing the Centre for Contemporary Arts , which contains the rather titillating Račka Gallery of Erotic Art , a first for Slovenia, as well as the Roman annexe to the Regional Museum. To the north is the National Hall , the cultural and social centre for Celje’s Slovenes at the end of the 19th century and now the city hall.
