Halfway between Šempeter and Celje in Žalec, this museum is dedicated to hops (hmelj) – Štajerska is famous for them – and the noble art of brewing. August to October are the best times to visit, when there are plenty of outdoor activities and demonstrations, from hop picking, the crowning of the hop princess and guided walks. And, yes, they do beer tastings too.
